The battery in my vehicle had caused me to need a "jump start" a couple of weeks ago. My son came to my rescue and got me started so that I could return home from an errand. He checked my battery the next day and stated that it wasn't showing bad yet, but, showing that it was most likely getting weak. He suggested that I go to the Interstate Battery store and purhase a new one. He stated that he had bought batteries from there and would recommend them. So, I listened to him, and didn't want to take the chance of getting stranded again with the cold winter days ahead, and went to the Interstate Battery store today and made a purchase. The man who works there was very nice and courteous and took care of my battery needs in a very professional manner. I will be sure to recommend this business to my friends and other relatives.

Great products and even better customer service!! I had a vey positive experience at your store when the representatives helped me switch out my battery for my car, which would not start, so i had to purchase the battery first then switch them out. I have never done this before and the representative was extremely helpful in telling me how to do this. I was very grateful!

Anthony was very helpful when choosing the batteries for our 2001 Camry and our 2012 Camry. He installed the new battery in my 2012 Camry while I was there and I was able to take the battery for my 2001 with as I returned home. The warranty is nice to have whenever we travel if there is a battery problem it will be corrected wherever we are.

I called around, interstate was not the cheapest however the customer service I got was worth the extra $20. The young lady that installed my battery was extremely kind and very knowledgeable about what she was doing. I will continue to use interstate from now on.

9/10/20 - My review is long but heart felt. I was treated with rude distain. It’s the only word I can use to express how they made me feel. The best way to explain is by telling the whole experience. Nothing can change what happened, my only fear now is this is sent to his email and he’ll delete it without anybody else reading it. From the way he treated me, I wouldn’t put it past him. I’ll tell anyway. I arrived at the interstate store in Broken Arrow Oklahoma on 9/10/20 to purchase a battery for my truck a little before 10 am. I noticed a store employee and a customer was coming out the door followed by another employee. I stopped to let them proceed while I finished putting on my mask. I noticed that the young woman (employee) kept glancing over at me as I walked through the door. She yelled into the store before the door closed to another employee that they were needed up front. The employee that responded glanced at me then looked around and stood there a few moments before asking if I needed something. I said, I needed a new battery for my truck. The girl came back inside and over to the register where we are at and I start to get a little uncomfortable at the way she’s looking at me. I can’t figure out if she’s about to start laughing, do I have something on my face? Then I thought “oh, Broken Arrow doesn’t have a mask mandate.” And I notice I’m the only one wearing a mask. But I brush off her smirking, we are in a pandemic whether people believe it or not. I turn back to the guy and he’s just starring out the window and I look at the girl and she’s looking at me then him. I’m still wondering if she’s going to laugh. I glanced at him again, then out the window to see what he’s looking at which is nothing. The parking lot is empty. So I shift my feet and he finally asked what type of car I have, I tell him a Ford F150 he asked what year I tell him 2007. He flips through a book, tosses it down, goes to the back and comes back with a battery. He starts ringing it up. He doesn’t say anything else to me. Doesn’t ask if I’m a returning customers, doesn’t tell me anything about the battery. Just tight lipped. Now the reason I went there is because I am a returning customer. I haven’t been to this new location but my partner Gary has. In fact he was there about a month ago replacing his car battery. He and his father always used interstate batteries for as long as he could remember but it was at the 61st Street location. Gary told me they were really nice and they would know what to do. Especially because I was asking him for all and any battery information I would need just in case. But he assured me that they would take care of all that. Not to worry. He also said they should prorate the older battery. So I can’t express enough how uncomfortable I’m being to feel because nobody is saying anything. I can’t look at the girl anymore, she’s openly enjoying whatever is happening. I can’t just leave because I don’t know if my battery will work, I had to jump it that morning before driving straight over there. And I’m not a confrontational person. I shouldn’t have to be. I finally find my voice to ask if I will get credit for the other battery. He hesitated a moment then asked my last name and I told him and was trying to spell it for him but he spoke over me and asked my first name. I thought of telling him it might be under Gary’s name or his father’s name because either one of them could have brought it in the last time, but I don’t. The girl making me feel worse and embarrassed. I seriously thought she was going to burst out laughing. He said something and I look at him and he points to the credit card machine. I have to read the total $199.79 because he didn’t tell me what it was. I expected it to be more expensive than other stores but I didn’t expect that, maybe $150 at the most. I don’t ever recall hearing anyone ever saying they spent two hundred dollars on a battery. But I don’t know. I do know that I wasn’t being treated well. My thoughts are if the only thing you sell in your store is batteries and someone comes in and buys one of your more expensive ones, they should be treated politely. Not so rudely. Sell is complete and he puts the receipt in a holder and hands it to me. Then just stands there. He didn’t say anything, didn’t even move the battery in my direction just looked over the top of my head. I look over at her and she just lifts her eyebrows grinning and I’m thinking, what’s going on here? I am shocked and very uncomfortable just standing there. So I finally asked, ”Do you install it or is that something I have to do?” Now I’m not stupid. I could change it out if I had too, I understand the concept, I just never have. And I didn’t bring tools with me. Without saying anything he grabs the battery and heads towards the door and I follow. He goes through the door and the girl yells from the register that I’m following right behind him. Even with her information he goes out the door without ever looking back. Not even hesitating to hold the door a moment to keep it from swinging back at me. That was incredibly rude. Who does that. I watch him take the cover off the battery and he stares at it. I’m thinking, yes that’s an interstate battery, but say nothing. I’m standing on the other side of the engine keeping a safe distance and take off my mask since I’m outside. I open up the receipt holder and it’s right there...a chart with the prorate and the warranty information. So I asked him what’s the date on the battery. He takes a breath and informed me that it only has the manufacture date on it not the date it was purchased. So I waited and had to ask for the manufactured date. He stops what he’s doing but never looks up and said, “2015.” So I look at the receipt and the battery type and then the chart. And a little excited I asked, “so I get 25% off?” He shakes his head and said no. I waited for an explanation but had to ask for one. He was put out and was plainly irritated while he told me that the interstate battery that was in my truck was the wrong battery. This didn’t seem right to me at all. My first thought was there’s no way Gary or his father would get the wrong battery for my truck. So I said, “Are you sure? That doesn’t make sense” I was going to add that it was probably put in by them, but he cut me off and repeated twice what he just said. So I asked which battery it was and looked back at the chart and said, “so...I get 10% off?” At that moment I thought maybe I shouldn’t have said anything at all. He now tells me the battery has April of 2015 so it’s past warranty, but then adds “if you still want 10% ,you’ll have to wait till I’m done. I said, “yes thank you” because what else is there to say? I followed him back into the store and he credited my card $19.00, puts the credit receipt with the other one in the holder, hands it to me and is already turning around as he says “have a nice day.” Which is a rude dismal. The girl now looks surprised and makes a poor attempt to be courteous by offering water from their mini fridge. I thanked her but refused and left. I went there with the best intentions of purchasing a battery for my truck and supporting a local business. But as I was driving away I couldn’t shake the feelings that were overwhelming me. I don’t like this part. I don’t like having to explain personal information to strangers. I am a domestic violence survivor. I have PTSD from it. I have had it under control for years. But I can’t stop the waves of confusion that’s wasting over me. The reason why the suicide rate is so high in people who suffer PTSD is because it’s their own thoughts and feelings are turned inwardly. I haven’t been triggered this badly for years. My PTSD causes Me to lose my voice to speak up for myself. As in asking why the girl was looking at me as if she knew something funny about me. Why was he being so ridiculously rude to me? What did I do? Did I not ask the right question? Should I have asked if they would rather me come back with more knowledge of batteries? What was wrong with them? What was wrong with me? The trauma demands a reason for my failure to be treated like a normal person. It gets completely overwhelming. It leaves a person feeling devastated. Hopeless. Over a battery sale! It wasn’t until later after I got home and was going over my ordeal with Gary and he was confused about it being the wrong battery in my truck. He said if it was it’s because they put the wrong one in. That’s when he decided to look it up on interstate website what battery should be in my truck. That’s when it hit me fully. Why my PTSD hit so hard. He lied to me. That employee purposely deceived me. I don’t know why. It’s no fault of mine. So the interstate battery finder says the battery that goes into my truck should be MT-59 retail price $141.95 this would have been the correct battery that was taken out of my truck. The battery he personally chose to sell me is the MTP-65hp price I paid $199.79 but that’s not all. On the original receipt he has an auto core charge of $17.00 and then uncharged it, also a power plus install charge of $14.99 that was also taken off. I’m guessing that was to make me think he was giving me a credit for my old battery. I looked at Gary’s receipt from a few months back for his car and neither one of those charges were on his. So that guy purposely sold me a larger more expensive battery, treated me with rude distain and then lied to me with no remorse about the battery in my truck. Is it my fault that I didn’t go in there armed with battery knowledge? Did I deserve not to be treated with integrity? I thought I was supporting a local business. I never thought They would purposely sell me the wrong battery. But why? It never crossed my mind that I would be scammed. But I feel he needs to understand something. More of how his behavior could have affected my life. If I had still been married to that abuser. I would have been questioned about the price and had he checked online about the wrong size battery he would have accused me of not telling the truth. That would be physically punishment but I would also be ridiculed for months maybe years over it. So when I left the store and he was thinking about how he good he feels. I don’t know if he gets commission. His delight would have cost me pain and suffering. I do take the responsibility of not having done my investigation into battery knowledge. Maybe He wouldn’t have sold me the wrong one. But even with all that happened nothing can explain the rudeness. I read the reviews people left and why wasn’t I treated that way? I went in there with the best of intentions. Now I regret my choice. We have two more vehicles, four altogether. His parents have three vehicles, his sister, her husband and their children have a total of eight vehicles. Friends, coworkers, family those people all would need batteries for their vehicles. All would have been directed towards that store had I been treated well, but now I feel obligated to express the truth of my experience. I apologize for the length of this but I couldn’t release the burden of it without explaining all of it. I wonder if he ever considered how he’d feel if someone treated his wife or daughter (if he has any) like he did me? Did he ever think he shouldn’t cheat someone because it could cause ramifications that would be harmful maybe even deadly. I don’t understand how I could be treated so rudely when all I wanted was to buy a battery for my truck. I am a good person, I bought a very expensive battery from your company and Instead of feeling good that I was supporting a local business, instead I left feeling devastated by the rude behavior. I am now regretting ever mentioning that prorate that your company offers. That has to be the only reason I was treated so cheaply. And let me be real clear...it’s not about the price I paid for the battery. It’s about his inexcusable rude behavior. Sincerely, Eileen Fleming

I called Interstate All Battery Service in Broken Arrow, OK in the morning about a Black & Decker cordless lawnmower battery that was starting to lose its effectiveness. Sharon (cashier 1984) on the ticket said that if I brought the battery in, they could probably rebuild it today! Wow! An hour later Sharon was unscrewing the case screws and Interstate had just the right batteries in stock. The procedure took about 30 minutes. Battery is back in place and my lawnmower is ready to roll! Big thanks and props to Sharon! Doin’ Interstate and Oklahoma proud!

The sales person at cash register was rude, I wanted good information about battery information, on CCA, on the reserve minutes. All she wanted was to give me was the battery in the program on cash register. She had me rung up to pay, with out asking questions, I continued to quiz her, and she finally asked the man installing battery’s in back. I wanted your better battery for $253.00 but they had none. I did buy a higher CCA battery. But still wanted the other. Left truck to have it installed and give them phone number for any issues. Picked up few hours later, found battery clamp on negative post lose, and it upset me. When back inside, and the same sales person stated yes she knew. Begin very upset I left, with lose battery cable, no paper work as requested on warranty, and without battery really wanted. Now I really question Instate Battery’s as a company, this store and if this is going to be a reliable purchase. Please respond on improvements and help with my concerns ? Outstanding experience. Top notch customer service! Convenient location, well stocked and very clean store with a variety of products. I impulse-bought a couple of LED lights that were on a clearance table but would have gotten more if the prices weren't so high. I found several other lights that would make good gifts (or for me) but the prices will probably keep me from stopping in to shop unless I have a battery issue.

From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with very unfriendly customer service. As I was holding the car batteries one hand and trying to open the front door with the other both employees are standing there looking at me never said hi when I walked in just set it down here. I told him my issue she tested the battery didn't tell me anything from the test walked over got a new battery set it down and tell him I total was 100.00 + dollars. With no explanation or anything even though I had A5 year warranty I told her she then proceeded to argue with me about the percentage that it should be turns out her math was wrong. Once I straightened it out paid for it and left only thing I got was a have a great day with a smart attitude. It wouldn't be a huge deal except for the last three times I've been in there and dealt with this employee it has been the same thing every time, it's a wonder I keep coming back and buying stuff.
