Interstate Batteries® of Arizona “Gets Hitched” to Operation Spark Arrest

Interstate Batteries® of Arizona has partnered with Operation Spark Arrest to host three pick-up locations for free trailer chain guards at their centers in Peoria, Surprise, and Prescott Valley. The guards help protect from trailer sparks, a significant cause of wildfires, and can be picked up from the bins at three local centers, including Interstate All Battery Center of Peoria at 8582 N. 91st Avenue, Interstate All Battery Center of Surprise at 17173 N. Litchfield Road, and Interstate All Battery Center of Prescott Valley at 9021 Florentine Road.

“I saw Lynn Preble from Operation Spark Arrest on television seeking pick-up locations for her novel solution to reducing wildfires, and since all Interstate All Battery Center locations see a lot of customers with trailers, it seemed a perfect cause to ‘hitch our wagon to’,” said Angie Fishman, Operations Manager for Interstate Batteries of Arizona. “We were inspired by how she personally invented fire hose spark guards and wanted to help support her mission.”

Operation Spark Arrest spark guards are available at all three local Interstate All Battery Centers, with more information and instructions for installation available on Operation Spark Arrest’s Facebook.

“The thing that makes me happy about this project is the conversation it has started,” added Preble, founder of Operation Spark Arrest. “People are talking about tow chains, and that alone will hopefully help us all help reduce wildfires. That’s what it’s all about!”
