Unfortunately, my experience with an employee by the name of Michael was not a positive one. The 2 other gentleman whose names I did not get were friendly enough when I walked into the store. My husband had phoned ahead so that the battery I needed would be ready for me. This given I had already been stranded for 2 hours and unable to pick up my children, etc. I had a tow service tow me to interstate given the cell had died in my battery and was unable to be charged. Michael never made eye contact with me. Even when I came back in to ask for the receipt, he never gave me the basic courtesy of a thank you or a you’re welcome when I thanked him. He was using a cellphone but wasn’t speaking, this as the business phone was ringing off the hook. Not sure what he was attending to but again just basic human interaction and kindness would have been much appreciated! The gentleman who put the battery in while on the flat bed of the tow truck did respond with a smile and a you’re welcome when I thanked him. It should also be noted, I was stranded at the local auto zone where I had gone to test the battery given the new hesitation when starting the vehicle. I could have purchased a battery there but in good conscience chose to go to my local interstate instead.

I went in to the store and found the battery I was looking for. Then an associate without a name tag greeted me and asked if he could help. I stated that I found the battery I was looking for, and asked him if there is a difference between a Li-ion (your battery) and LI-HP (the battery I was replacing)? He then states he doesn't know what the HP stands for on the battery I am trying to replace. I thought to myself that's weird as this store specializes in batteries and should have lots of knowledge in batteries, but no worries I let it go. Then I state to him that I need a battery for my cars key fob and handed him my car key to see the size. He then takes my key and walks over to a work station and changes it out. He then rings me up and states the total. I asked him, how much is just the battery without the install fee and the states $4.99. I then asked him, do you always just install the battery or ask if I would like to buy just the battery or install it for you? He states well we just install it if the key is handed to us. I believe this is not right for your future customers, as I could have saved $5 and just installed myself. It's not the money that bothered me, it's the part that he upsold me without disclosing to me. This is immoral and I would like to be followed up with for the resolution of this occurrence in the future. Please note the associate was polite and courteous. Thank you, Brandon Riesel

No battery in stock but I accepted that it would be in stock next day and would be called. I was not called, but when I called I was told it had not been ordered. The Store Manager Kevin, to his credit, did get one delivered later in the day and did call me. However, when I went to pick it up, the sales clerk would not let me talk with Kevin so that I could thank him. After 4 iterations of being denied talking with Kevin, I finally acquiesced and just paid for the battery. I don't know if the sales clerk was protecting Kevin because he did not want to talk with me, or if he was just being 'overly helpful to a flaw' even though Kevin who was in the back office 'doing paperwork'. Regardless, if I hadn't been a loyal Interstate customer and really wanted your brand, then I would have walked out due to two instances of what I perceived to be poor customer service.

My day did not start out so great and micheal was able to turn it around with his kindness and generosity. I went back to this location because they have always been exceptional with knowledge and assistance. Not this time. Really disappointed. A take it or leave it attitude. When replacing my battery he dropped one of the tie down bolts down in the engine and did not try to recover it. It was located in the area close to the fan. When I asked him to get it out he told me that if I was willing to wait for a long time while he took care of everyone else he would take a look at it. I pointed it was located close to the fan and might cause real damage. He still refused to even try. He installed a tie down bolt from the shop that was about 6 inches two long. I then had to ask him to cut it off so it didn't hit the hood. He finally did cut it off and abruptly went back into the store. During the installation there was a elderly women seeking a battery for her vacuum and he told her to stand by her car and he would get to her when he was done. It was over 90 degrees in the hot sun. She finally sat in her car. He never got back to her. When I was leaving she was going back into the store to find him. This is sad I have always bragged on how good this store is at helping everyone.

Showed up to store 10 minutes before closing for a small battery that powered bedroom fan/light, fan and light inoperative because battery was dead.Dark bedroom. But as it turned out, I did not have my wallet with me. Offered to have my wife drive over and bring wallet / money to pay for battery. But sales clerk said that was not necessary I could come by next day and pay for battery, which I did today. Saved wife a trip. Allowed us to have a light and cool air in the bedroom last night. Awesome. Great customer service!. Also received great customer service two weeks prior when I had to return a car battery. Good sales folks.
