I had an incredibly good service experience at the Omaha store on 72nd Street. My RV was not starting well, so I thought I needed a new battery. I came and bought one at Interstate but it did not solve my starting issue. The guys at Interstate (Aaron, Kyle, Hunter) took good care of me all day while I ordered a new starter and I tried to fix the problem right in their parking lot. They also took back the battery I had bought (which I didn't end up needing) without any fuss. It turned out I needed a tow, and they were all incredibly helpful and kind: They brought me a Gatorade, they gave a couple of friendly pointers to see if we could get the rig running, they came out to check on me, and they did not begrudge me the time and space I was taking up in their lot. I'm taking a minor risk here because it might be against corporate policy to help a customer to this extent (liability etc.), but I have to point out that regardless of corporate policy, the guys in Omaha made me an Interstate battery customer for life. (I regularly need auto batteries, deep cycle marine batteries, ATV batteries, and more.) They could not have been kinder or more helpful. I hope whatever corporate entity is in charge of this stuff takes notice and reaches out to commend the store, the managers, and the GM. Aaron, Kyle, and Hunter made a nightmare of a day MUCH more bearable. I am in their debt.

I like the price to put in new cells in my DeWalt drill. The store was neat and clean. There was enough sales people to help me out. I am not sure signing an invoice was necessary because I paid via credit card. It is not necessary for me to tell you that I will abide by the terms and conditions of my credit card provider. Also since it was a cash sale, the statement saying that I will pay the balance due it moot. I can see that if this was a B to B sale with open credit, it would be necessary. Just trying to cut back unnecessary paperwork, time and other expenses. In my case, I dropped my drill and thought I had broken the connections between the cells. When I brought it in, I was told that if that was the case, there would be no charge (good policy). If the cells were old and had to be replaced it would be $60.00. So I left it a few days later they said that they called me for permission to replace the cells. I have voice mail and never got the call. Anyway I called to check on my repair and was told that I had to authorize the $60 repair. You might give some thought that in the future they ask that question in the first place (the cells were 4 years old) and save 4 days and extra effort. Now I know this is SOP in the auto repair business, but this not a hundreds of dollars or more repair. I just think it is better customer service. Treat your customer they way you would like to be treated. I'll be back as regular customer when I need battery help. Thank you for your time.

I purchased the incorrect batteries. I purchased (3) 18560 batteries. What I needed were (3) 14500 batteries. I went to exchange the newly purchased batteries to find the 14500's were not in stock. According to the clerk, they were not in any Omaha location but I could order them through the store for $26.00 each. The clerk also mentioned there is a problem with people incorrectly using this battery in e-cigarettes. I checked on your web site, and the 14500 batteries were listed as $11.99 each, less than half the price quoted at the store. I went to order the 14500's from your web site, but this was impossible. In a chat session with your customer service, I was notified that Interstate Battery no longer takes on-line orders. I went to your competition, Batteries Plus, ordered (3) 14500 batteries on-line, and picked them up in store in the same day. By the way, these batteries are for Amateur Radio equipment not e-cigarettes.

My husband bought two 3 V LIT duracell batteries to see if the sensor issue on our home alarm was do to bad batteries. Put the new ones in from your store - sensor still did not work. ADT came out and had to replace the sensor and informed us that the old batteries still worked and had plenty of usage left. My husband brought the batteries with the receipt back and they would not return them. Somehow the trial took all of the energy level out?? Not sure how this miraculously happened but my husband was very frustrated it seemed very odd. How was he to know for sure that they were bad when he purchased them in the first place - maybe they were bad when he brought them home?? There is no real way to tell unless he had them tested before they left the store...Either way, we buy all our batteries with your store so to not accept some form of responsibility was disappointing. ADT claims there is no way their system would have zapped that much juice in a testing?? We will go back to hardware store battery purchasing and we will definitely have to share our disappointment with friends and neighbors who we have recommended to go to your stores. A refund would have been nice but he would have settled for replacements. Unfortunately, nothing was offered.

I checked online first to be sure Interstate Battery carried the battery I was looking for and found it for $12.99 online, Walmart had it for $10.99 online, but I didn't want to wait and Interstate was on the way of my other errands. I went to the store and they had it for $15.99. At least I had a coupon to save 20%. The battery was for a garage door remote over 25 years old. I'm sure the salesman was trying to be helpful and tried to insert the battery for me and force the back closed and broke it off. The remote is not replaceable since it's so old. I managed to tape it together and it is so far working. I should not have handed the remote to him in the first place because I have replaced the batteries myself for the last 25 years without breaking it but I had asked him to test the old battery to be sure it needed to be replaced and my fingers were too cold to get it pulled out of the remote for him. Since Walmart had you beat on price and I ended up with a broken remote, it probably wouldn't be the first place I'd recommend to someone.

Have a 10% off discount offer for customers more often. Or have greater than 10% percent off discount on automobile batteries (more often). Offer discount often. Also offer customers batteries that are "Made In The USA". I shop around for made in USA products. I really wished your brand batteries more in-stock more often. I find that at this store location- customers have to call ahead or wait several days just to get a Interstate Battery. Frustrating for customers the delay for something that should be on the shelf at store's location. I do find the staff friendly and knowledgeable at this location Store #9248.
