Interstate PowerCare announced today the launch of its new BattMedic battery testing methodology that allows its engineers to evaluate and identify issues and get fleets up and running up to seven times faster than the industry average. This process was developed in response to market demand for improved diagnostic and repair times by PowerCare’s business customers.

BattMedic replaces the conventional shop evaluation process. Once the PowerCare technical service team gets on site, they can have you back up and running, almost every time, in 24-48 hours without additional delays.

In addition to helping us identify and resolve issues, we leverage the BattMedic diagnostic process to test and model the custom power solutions we recommend to our clients to help ensure we’re delivering a right-sized solution. The BattMedic methodology coupled with our in-depth Power Utilization analysis enables us to deliver an optimal solution as evidenced by PowerCare having the lowest failure rate in the motive and critical power industry.

PowerCare launched this new innovative process in 2016 with a group of business customers as a pilot program. The pilot has shown positive results in almost every case.

Clients who had the opportunity to pilot this new technology shared this positive feedback:

“Batteries aren’t getting hot and trucks aren’t faulting! We are going to run all of our aged fleet batteries with BattMedic,” said Jasper Products.

“We’re extremely excited! It increased battery run life by more than 10 times what it was before. Instead of two trucks, we’re now able to load seven trucks before needing to recharge!” said Will Fisher, a PowerCare customer.

“Innovation and problem solving is what we do best,” says Vince Whitehead, Director and General Manager of Motive. “Our experienced engineers saw an opportunity to improve the battery diagnosis and repair process and followed through until they created a repeatable model. We’re really excited about the enhanced level of service BattMedic enables us to deliver for our customers.”
