Will directs all financial activities for Interstate Batteries, including accounting, planning, treasury, tax and shared services. His diverse background in both supply chain and finance gives him a unique perspective as CFO.
Will’s experience extends all the way back to his days in the RV manufacturing industry, where everyone relies on Lean Six Sigma, a methodology focused on creating as little waste as possible and removing the waste in business processes. Prior to Interstate, he spent 15 years at Dr Pepper Snapple Group, where he helped lead a free cash flow improvement of more than $200 million in 2013. He co-authored the AQI Lean Six Sigma International Black Belt Training Standard released in 2015.
Will earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Dallas. He is vice president of the Board of Trustees, a deacon and a Sunday School teacher at Parkway Hills Baptist Church. He has served on the board of TMAC for five years, the board of Executive Connection for two years and is CFO of the DFW Prayer Breakfast.
Will’s eighth value* is transparency, which he believes is the key to lasting relationships with both family and team members.
Will is a serious baseball fan, and enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team. On most weekends, you can find the McDade family at the ballpark or at a Frisco RoughRiders game.
