We want to make ordering and receiving your merchandise as seamless as possible. These shipping guidelines should answer many of your questions, but please contact customer service if we can be of further assistance.

Shipping Policy:

Not all Interstate products are shippable. If a product you are looking for can’t be shipped, please go to the Dealer locator page and visit your nearest Interstate Dealer or All Battery Center®.

We ship within the 48 contiguous United States, Hawaii and Alaska (at this time, we are unable to ship to Puerto Rico or internationally).

Shippable Products:

IN STOCK orders placed by 1 pm CST (M-F), ship same day.
Orders placed after 1 pm CST ship the next business day.
Orders placed after 1 pm CST Friday through Sunday ship the following Monday.
Interstate honors all federally recognized holidays.

Shipping Weight Requirements:

Delivery to a P.O. Box - Due to USPS regulations, we can only ship packages 1 lb and less to a P.O. Box.
Any shipment over 3 lbs must deliver to a street address (no P.O. Boxes) via UPS.


For our shippable products (i.e.: small gadget batteries), the product page should display an item’s availability. In the event your item(s) are backordered, you will be contacted via email or phone. Your credit card will not be charged until the product ships.

For those batteries sold through our Dealers, please call to verify stock.

Shipment Tracking:

If you’ve selected UPS as the shipping method, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number. Carriers often take up to 24 hours to update tracking information. You may also log into your account at to view the shipping status. USPS orders are not issued tracking numbers.

Shipping Rates:

Shipping rates are based on product weight, ship-to location and method (ground, 2nd day, next day). For an estimate on the shipping cost of an item, add the item to the cart and enter your zip code. You will have the opportunity to review shipping costs and update your shipping method before checkout.

Free ground shipping via USPS is offered during certain promotional events. The current promotional event is displayed on the front page of our website. Should you choose to ship via a different method, i.e.: UPS, free shipping does not apply. reserves the right to remove free shipping at any time.

Shipping Restrictions:

Most batteries are considered hazardous materials and are subject to governmental/agency regulations. complies with these regulations and ships your order accordingly.

A few common restrictions for shipping batteries:
- small lithium batteries cannot be shipped USPS, but must be shipped UPS Ground.
- medium and large lithium batteries cannot be sent via air (i.e. overnight/next day).
- orders over 300lbs cannot be shipped via UPS and have to be shipped LTL.
- The maximum weight for UPS package is 150 lbs.

Accepting a shipment: does not require a signature for delivery unless requested. We are not responsible for your order once tracking shows it has been delivered to your address. Customers are responsible for having someone accept their package if they are not going to be there for delivery.

Shipping to an Address Other Than Your Billing Address:

If your order is shipping to an address other than the billing address on your credit card, we may contact you to verify the alternate address for your protection.

Post-Shipment Address Corrections:

If a mistake has been made in the address and the order has already been shipped, every reasonable effort will be made to get your merchandise to the correct destination. Please contact Customer Service for assistance. NOTE: customer will be responsible for any address correction fees charged by the carrier.

Order Validation: reserves the right to withhold shipment until the order has been validated for correct billing and shipping information. Your order will not be processed until your payment information has been confirmed. This helps prevent fraudulent use of your credit card.

Refusing a shipment:

We ask that you follow our return policy for faster processing as refused shipments may take up to 3 weeks to be returned to our warehouse. Refusing shipment will likely cause a delay in processing your credit. We do incur shipping charges on all shipments to our customers. If there is an error on our part, these shipping fees will be refunded or credited along with the cost of the item(s) purchased. If through no fault of the shipment is refused (or returned), shipping charges will not be credited and a 15% restocking fee may apply.
