Wheelchair Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY ON ALL INTERSTATE BATTERY PART NUMBERS THAT START WITH “DCM” 

Important:  Keep this warranty and the sales receipt. 

Interstate Battery System International, Inc. (INTERSTATE) warrants only to the original purchaser that: this battery is free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date that the battery is purchased.  If replacement of the battery is necessary due to a defect in material or workmanship, or state of charge below minimum industry standards prior to installation or use, and the battery is NOT MERELY DISCHARGED after installation or use, then upon return of the battery to an authorized dealer within twelve (12) months from the date of the original purchase, the battery will be replaced FREE of charge (except for taxes, where applicable).  A copy of the purchase receipt must be presented to the authorized dealer in order to receive a replacement battery. 

FOR WARRANTY SERVICE, PLEASE RETURN THE BATTERY TO THE INTERSTATE BATTERY DEALER WHERE THE BATTERY WAS PURCHASED OR PHONE 1-888-772-3600 AND ASK FOR “CUSTOMER SERVICE” IN ORDER TO FIND OUT THE NEAREST DEALER LOCATION.  

This battery can properly be used for both starting a piston engine and for deep-cycle applications.  However, the warranty is void if the battery is used in a float application such as for stand-by, uninterruptible power or stand-by cable television. 

INTERSTATE'S liability is limited to replacement of the battery in accordance with the above information.  Interstate will not be responsible for any installation cost, loss of time, or other consequential damages or costs incurred.  This battery is a permanently-sealed battery and should not be opened.  This warranty does NOT cover damage to the battery caused by trying to open the cover of the battery, willful or accidental abuse or neglect, damage to the battery terminals, destruction by fire, collision, dropping the battery, explosion, freezing, theft, overcharging, failure to properly keep the battery charged, or damage caused by use of special additives introduced into the battery.   

The warranty described above shall be IN LIEU OF any other warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to any IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY or fitness for a particular purpose. 

NOTE: SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. 

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
