Angel Tree Christmas Project

Interstate Batteries is proud to sponsor the children of prison inmates through the Angel Tree Christmas project.

During the holiday season, a Christmas tree is placed in Interstate’s Speedway Café with approximately 110 angels adorning the tree. Each angel lists a child’s name, favorite toy and item of needed clothing. Employees choose an angel, purchase and wrap the listed gifts, and deliver them to the children on behalf of the prisoner-parent during a Christmas party held at the Embassy Suites Hotel. The children are treated to games, craft stations, singing, family photos and lunch in addition to their gifts.
