Battery types

There are thousands of different battery types, many of which have highly specialized functions. Interstate Batteries is a leading battery provider, and we pride ourselves on our extensive inventory. Whether you need a simple watch battery or a more specialized dry cell unit, we have what you’re looking for.

With so many different options, it can be difficult to keep track of which type you need. Interstate Batteries takes the guesswork out of the equation – it is easy to find and track specific batteries with our designated categories.

Alkaline – Alkaline units are the most recognizable batteries, as these models are used in many household appliances. They can be rechargeable or non-rechargeable, depending on the types of cells.

Coin Cells – Coin cells, also known as button cells or watch batteries, are flat disc-shaped batteries. What they lack in size, they make up for in performance and longevity. Coin cells are typically used in small devices such as watches, hearing aids and calculators.

Dry Cells – Dry cell batteries are chemical based units that rely on an electrolyte paste to minimize moisture. These products are generally used to power electric appliances and certain types of motors.

Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) – SLA batteries are rechargeable units that do not require regular maintenance. They are often used in large electronic devices and power grid systems.

Vehicle – Vehicle batteries power cars, trucks, boats and more. Interstate Batteries has a wide selection of vehicle batteries so you are sure to find a match in our inventory.
